Insight into my Process

To create my digital artworks, I use a wacom cintiq drawing tablet and adobe photoshop. The main brush I use for animal portraits is the hard round brush as it allows me to build up colours and texture organically.

 

With a background in traditional art, specifically oil painting I like to vary my brushstrokes to emulate the aesthetic of a traditional painting.

What I love about creating digital art is the fluidity it gives me to experiment without permanent consequences. Being able to explore different directions in a painting with the immediacy that a digital medium offers, has allowed me to push my art with no boundaries.
